Management wanted to resurrect the old wood-burning fireplace to serve once again as a fireplace. However, they did not want to go back to wood. Working with Wayne Johnson, of The Johnson Company, a steel insert was designed which would accommodate three, alcohol burning stoves, giving the ambiance and warmth, without the maintenance and mess.

The drywallers did a fantastic job of blending in the steel insert with the surrounding hearth. Unfortunately, only 2 burners were lit at the time of pictures. 

The designer wanted a steel surround which would accommodate three alcohol burning stoves.

The original fireplace was decommissioned due to lack of air draw. A shelf insert was built to provide some function of the unused space.
